Pets Make Great Companions at Bishop’s Commons
Older adults planning to downsize their living arrangements or move to an apartment home now have another option if they want to bring their furry friend along – that’s because Bishop’s Commons in Oswego is now a “pet friendly” community.
“We have seen an increase in the number of people who want to move and become a part of our Bishop’s Commons community and keep their pets with them,” said Julie Chetney Director of Senior Services. “The bonds between an owner and pet can be especially strong and we offer the opportunity to retain that friendship, even when making other lifestyle changes, like choosing to relocate.”
Adel Perleoni is seen spending some quality time with a furry friend in her apartment home; part of a “pet friendly” lifestyle available to residents at Bishop’s Commons.
While always welcoming to visiting pets, Chetney acknowledged this new option at Bishop’s Commons is really about consumer demand and accommodating changing preferences.
Chetney added, “As a senior living community with eighteen years of experience, we recognize that expectations change and we are continually evolving to tailor our lifestyle options and services to better meet the needs and desires of our residents. Our new pet friendly policy is one such enhancement.”
