St. Francis Commons Residents Collect Goods In Support of Oswego Animal Shelter
St. Luke Francis Commons in Oswego recently completed their month-long drive to collect items in support the Oswego Animal Shelter.
Pictured with a variety of items collected on behalf of the Oswego Animal Shelter are St. Francis Commons residents Gloria Craig, Sonny Britton, Carl Knight, Emil Tulik, Joyce Hudson (standing), and Eileen Amedio.
The collection coincided with the Feast of St. Francis, which took place earlier this month. St. Francis is the Roman Catholic Patron Saint of animals. “Thanks to everyone who supported this effort,” said Peggy LiVoti, St. Francis Commons Director of Activities. “Many of our families own pets and this collection supports an important organization in our community.” Items donated to the shelter included food, toys, blankets and pillows.
