SUNY Oswego Heath Promotion Program Planning Students Team Up with St. Francis Commons Residents For Project
SUNY Oswego students from Dr. Minjung Seo’s Health Promotion Program Planning class completed their semester-long project with residents at St. Francis Commons in Oswego.
Students spent afternoons at St. Francis Commons interviewing residents, as part of a class project that teaches students how to develop and implement evidence-based health promotion programs.
Students conducted a series of interactive lessons aimed at specific health issues, such as diabetes, arthritis or most recently, falls prevention strategies.
This has been a great experience for all involved. Not only was this fun and educational, but everyone enjoyed the interactions and friendships that developed over the course of the last few months. We are looking forward to getting started when the Spring semester gets underway in a few months!
