State Department of Health Announces Limited Visitation Can Resume In Nursing Homes and Long Term Care Facilities Beginning July 15
(Friday, July 10) This afternoon, the New York State Department of Health announced that nursing homes and long term care facilities in New York will be allowed to resume limited visitations for facilities that have been without COVID-19 for at least 28 days, a threshold set by the federal Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services.
Visits may resume beginning on July 15 as long as each provider meets criteria outlined by the Department of Health.
St. Luke and affiliates are now working to complete the necessary preparations and we will be communicating with residents, families and staff in the coming days to appraise them of our progress and of all the requirements and expectations related to the resumption of visits in a safe, orderly and equitable manner.
