Those Served On St. Luke Healthcare Campus Are Big Winners in Boyce Memorial Charity Golf Tournament
Thank you to all who participated in our Annual Boyce Memorial Charity Golf Tournament on Friday, August 4th at Battle Island Golf Course in Fulton, NY. This marked the 26th consecutive year of friends and supporters gathering for a day of fun and competition while benefitting those served by our not-for-profit affiliate organizations St. Luke Health Services, Bishop’s Commons and St. Francis Commons.
A field of eighty golfers took part on a warm summer day in Central New York. Claiming the top spot at this year's tournament with a round of 58 was the team representing Wayne Drug Store. Prizes were also awarded in our "skills" competitions and putting contest.
Our tournament is named in honor of Mr. Francis Boyce, the first Administrator at St. Luke and a past President of the Board of Directors. Mr. Boyce helped guide our organizations for over thirty-five years.
Proceeds from this event make it possible for our residents across our healthcare campus to enjoy special entertainment and activities, outings, and to purchase items that help to enhance the quality of life for those in our care throughout the year.
A special thanks goes out to all our tournament sponsors including our title sponsor HelathDirect Pharmacy Services, Environmental Services Specialist Corp., Fulton Savings Bank, Grassi HealthCare Advisors; Rehab Resources and Sodexo. Golf cart sponsor was the Yang-Patyi Law Firm, and breakfast was sponsored by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield. The hole-in-one contest sponsor was Usherwood Office Technology.
